The Service Body is a steel body with a number of various sized compartments are welded together to create a very useful body. Anyone who needs to carry tools, parts and other gear to and from jobsites needs a Service Body. Think of it this way: this is a body that is just a bunch of closets. It's human nature that we love to fill closets up. What can you fill your Service Body with?
Service Bodies come in a number of different heights: The low model where the top of the body is at about the bottom of the rear window of the truck, a mid-height that is about the middle of the rear window and a high side that is close to cab high. You can add a raised compartment. You could modify it with a transverse compartment so that you can open the front door on both sides and see all the way through (also available with a wall on one side). Of course, there are a number of other accessories you can add to help make it as useful as possible, such as, HD Rack, Vise Bracket, Conduit Tubes, Drawers, Shelves, Horizontal Series, etc.
Standard lengths are 8' and 9' for single rear wheel trucks, 8', 9', 11', 13' for dual rear wheel trucks. Although most are painted white, they can be painted to match any color desired.
Open Top Service Bodies have lids that open upward on the top the the Service Body with small dividers or compartments for small items. The depth of the Open Top Compartment vary vendor to vendor. Treadbrite Aluminum overlay can be added for more bling. Some have Stainless Steel lids.
